Hello, my name is Sarah Priestap, and I'm a photographer living in Central Vermont.

I have extensive experience in community photojournalism, local and national sports, politics, and food photography.

I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Photojournalism in 2011. I spent five years as a staff photographer, covering community news and two rounds of presidential primaries with the  photo-centered Valley News in Vermont and New Hampshire before transitioning to focus completely on documentary wedding and freelance work. 

I've previously worked at the Patriot-News, Rochester City Newspaper and the Erie Times-News. My work has been published in The New York Times, Vox, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Food & Wine, USA Today, and distributed by The Associated Press. Local clients include King Arthur Flour, The Valley News, The Burlington Free Press, Seven Days, Inn at Weathersfield, Brownsville Butcher, Woodbelly Pizza, SoLo Farm & Table, and Red Kite Candy, among others. 

I'm a documentary wedding photographer, and live with my husband, Jeff, rescue dog, Arlo, and Icelandic Horse, Glaumur in the mountains of Vermont. I'm available for local events and projects further afield by request.
